Before applying for the VISA - Important Notice for all Applicants
Please upload the following while applying for visa:
1.Photograph (white background) and signature
2.Passport (first page,including photo and personal information)
3.Police clearance (criminal history)
4.Invitation letter
5.Business letter (Carta Empresa)
6.Itinerary (Airline ticket reservation)
Your visa processing might be delayed or the application may be returned
if these documents are not uploaded in the system

General Information:
Before applying for a visa, please read carefully the general rules on visas.
Issuing or denying a visa is a sovereign act of every country. Once the visa is issued, its type and duration of stay are also a sovereign act of the Brazilian government.
Please note that the Consular Section of the Embassy is open from 09:30 am to 12:30 pm, from Sunday to Thursday.
Processing time
Processing time varies from case to case. Be sure to plan your visa application in advance. After all application requirements are met, the processing time is of minimum 10 (ten) working days.
How to apply for a visa
First thing to do to apply for a visa is to fill out the online form. The website link for the online application can be found at the Tourist or Business Visa section of our webpage.
After filling out the form, applicants must print out the confirmation form. Sign it and paste a passport-sized photo on the appropriate place and bring it to the Consular Section of the Embassy (or to our Honorary Consulates) with your passport and other documents according to the type of visa you are applying for. Only original documents will be accepted.
The Consular Section may request additional information and documents if deemed necessary.
Please note that we do not accept visa applications by mail nor by email. Applicants must submit their application in person or through a friend, relative, or agent. Additional fees will be charged if the application is submitted by a third party.
Documents
The Embassy only accepts original documents in English or Portuguese. Documents written in other languages will not be accepted and must be translated and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Official documents (such as Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Police Character Certificate, University Degrees and Transcripts) must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Invitation letters and other documents from current employers must be notarized by Notary Public. Invitation letters from company/people in Brazil must be notarized in Brazil.
Interviews
Applicants might be called for interview during the application process. Interviews will be held by our Consular Officers in the Consular Section of our Embassy.
Visa fees
Visa fees vary according to the type of visa required. In order to start the process, together with the visa form, the applicant must bring a pay order - banks from Dhaka city - on behalf of BRAZILIAN EMBASSY IN DHAKA.
Tourist Visa TK 8,000 (Eight thousand Takas)
Business Visa TK 8,000 (Eight thousand Takas)
Honorary Consulates
Brazil DOES NOT possess any Honorary Consuls or Consulates in Bangladesh.
